Best way to Remove Fence Panel Saving the Post, Easy Simple

So we’re taking these fence sections out, and we want to save the posts, so how do we do that? First of all, we have a wedge shaped bar here, that we drive down in between, so that you can just see through, and then we use our saws all to cut the nails. There so you can see through. You only need about an eighth to get through, and then you use a saws all here, with a metal blade in it, a hack saw blade, and then we cut through. Can you lift that up a little, stick it in there, somewhere? Yeah, stick it in the hole and go up there. Move it around. Oh you’re going upwards okay. It’s easier to go down, but okay. Put the pressure on it? We’re cutting the nail. You can see that. You can see that cutting that nail. Now, turn it upside-down, then you get the weight of your saw going on there so that you don’t have to put upward pressure on it. Next, just follow it down. There’s your next nail down there. Might have to spread that bit before hand, so we’ll do that, but that’s how you do it. You cut the nails, soon as you’ve got all the nails cut, you can usually see where the nails are here, you can for sure see where the nails are when you go between there. And then you save your post without damaging it. Closed Captioning by Kris Brandhagen. [email protected]

I just spent the day prying fence boards off one by one so I could take off the horizontal planks attached to the posts. I never thought to use the Sawzall and just take the whole panel off doh
